Isiah Fowler

Isiah Fowler
That morning 12-year-old Isiah and his sister, 8-year-old Lelia's stayed home together while his dad and his step-mom went to a little league game. It was normal for her to stay with her brother because it was stated that they were very close and got along well as siblings.

Around noon that day, Isiah called his father and step-mother stating that there was a strange man in the house and that he had ran out the back door but never said anything about Lelia being hurt. His stepmother then called 911 immediately and stated that there was an intruder in the house. A few moments later, Isiah had called 911 also as the parents sped home. Almost two minutes into the conversation, he said that his sister had been stabbed.

When paramedics arrived on the scene, they found Lelia on the floor of her bedroom beside her television. One of the paramedics had noted that Lelia's body was cold to the touch. When the police showed up, they confirmed that she had been stabbed on the top part of her bunk-bed. The wall that was beside her bed was covered in blood.

When police started interviewing people, Isiah was on the top of their list. He stated that around noon that day he was in the bathroom while his sister was in her bedroom. He first heard a man yelling, followed by Lelia screaming. Isiah then came out of the bathroom and saw a man with long, grey hair running out the back door. He then called his father and step-mother to say what happened. Isiah said that he ran into the kitchen and grabbed a knife in case there were more men in the house. He went to go look for his sister and in her room he saw blood all over the wall and Lelia beside her t.v.

After Isiah told his side of the story, police then started searching for a man with long-grey hair and showed him mugshots of people who might be the person who killed his sister.

While still searching for the man, police had done an autopsy on Lelia and came to the conclusion that she had been stabbed twenty times. Fourteen of those stabbings were called prod injuries which meant that they were shallow stabs and that she had been poked by the knife either to intimidate or abuse her.

It was then stated that there was no blood markings from the top of the bunk-bed to the floor where she had been found. Police suspect that she was carried very quickly to get her to the floor or even thrown across the room.

When the house was searched, the police found a set of J. A. Henckels serrated steak knives in the kitchen and the tip of one was bent. There was no blood on the knife, but when they dissected it, traces of Lelia's blood was found under the handle.

Two weeks later, the police stated they had a suspect. That suspect was Isiah. They said Isiah stabbed his sister, went to the kitchen to wash off all of the blood, and then forty-five minutes later, he called his father and step-mother. Lelia's body was cold when the paramedics arrived because of this. Police found no evidence of someone being in the house that day. The reason why they suspected Isiah was because he was the only one in the house when Lelia was killed.

In 2015, Isiah was trialed to court and his lawyer said there was no way possible that he could have washed all of the blood off of the knife and even his clothes. The other side then stated that there was a Ghost busters shirt in Isiah's room that had red markings on the left shoulder and discoloration on the bottom of the shirt. A dissection was done on his shirt and Lelia's DNA was on the shirt but they could not prove when it got on there.

Another autopsy was done on Lelia to see if she was sexually assaulted but the results came back negative. There was a piece of hair found near her butt. It was he hair but it had a males DNA on it. No one in their family, even Isiah matched that DNA. Isiah's lawyer then stated that there had to be someone in the house that day.

The judged sentenced Isiah to the maximum of eight years. He will be released out of prison around the age of twenty-three.

His family still supports him and says that he is innocent and that another person had killed Lelia and is still on the run.

Many theories say that Isiah is the one who killed his sister, Lelia, others still believe that a man broke into the house and did it himself.
I do believe that Isiah was the one who murdered her. Police have enough evidence to have proven that it was him and Isiah even had different stories each time the police interviewed him.

I’d love to hear what you think about this issue. Let me know in the comments!
