September 20, 1998 Tara Calico Tara Calico disappeared near her home in Belen, New Mexico on September 20 when she was riding her bike on the New Mexico state road 47. Tara and her mother, Patty Doel biked this road almost every morning until her mom stopped because she felt she was being stalked by a motorist. Patty wanted Tara to carry mase on her but she rejected that choice. On the morning of her disappearance, Tara had told her mother that if she was not back from riding at noon than to come and get her because she was going to play tennis with her boyfriend at 12:30. Patty went to go find Tara when she did not return at the time she said she would. Her mom went searching the bike route she always goes on. She did not find her daughter but she found pieces of her Sony Walkman and cassette tape. March 16, 2009 23-year-old Rhonda Castro and her boyfriend Steve Nichols set out the day of March 16 to hike a Eagle Creek Trail. The trail was very popular for a steep drop-off that looked over the Columbia River Gorge. No one knew that this day would be turned into a nightmare. Before they went on a hike, Castro dropped her 9-month-old daughter Ava with her mother. By early evening, a rescue team responded to a 911 call from Nichols. When they arrived at the scene, they found Castro's body lifeless at the bottom of a ravine. Nichols recalled the before the incident, he saw Castro running down a narrow trail with a towel behind her like "superman." He then remembered her sliding down the ravine and him trying to help her by swimming across a freezing creek to get her. By the time he got there, she was lifeless. January 31, 1996 Rachel had short hair when she disappeared Rachel was a 13-year-old girl who lived in Bolingbrook, Illinois. She attended Ward Middle School in 1996. One day she stayed home with a sore throat with her stepdad, Vincent, taking care of her. Her stepdad went to take their dog for a walk but before he did, he said that they were both playing video games before she fell asleep. When he left, he left the door unlocked and the last time he saw her, Rachel was laying in the bed wrapped up in a blue blanket.  While Rachel's stepdad was walking the dog, he said that the dog got loose and the walk lasted about thirty minutes, longer than he wanted to be gone. When he returned, Rachel was no where to be found. Police stated that Vincent noticed that she wasn't where he last saw her. June 30, 2014 Lars Mittank 28-year-old Lars Mittank traveled to Golden Sands, Bulgaria with his group of friends. The resort that they had stayed at was very popular to European countries. Mittank and his friends stayed at HVD Viva Hotel and planned to leave on July 7 back home.  The day of July 6, Mittank got into a fight with several guys about a sports team and got hit in the ear, causing an ruptured eardrum. The doctor supposedly said that he should not fly home the next day, other reports show that Mittank just told his mother that he wasn't going to fly home until he got better. His friends had offered to stay with him until he was fine to fly home, but he insisted that they go ahead without him. Toronto, Canada 2013 16-year-old Sandra Anderson and her 15-year-old sister Beth Anderson called 911 for help on this day. They stated that their mother, Linda Anderson was floating in the bathtub showing no signs of life. When the 911 operator told the girls how to start CPR until the paramedics arrived, they both didn't follow directions. The operator was basically pleading to the girls to get their mom out of the bathtub but the girls continued to refuse helping. When the police and paramedics arrive, their mother is already dead. The investigators saw this as an accident and gave the girls and their family sympathy. Linda was a single mom that was very depressed and had a drinking problem. She worked two jobs at a time but the sisters and their step-brother never thought she was doing enough for them. April 27, 2013 Isiah Fowler That morning 12-year-old Isiah and his sister, 8-year-old Lelia's stayed home together while his dad and his step-mom went to a little league game. It was normal for her to stay with her brother because it was stated that they were very close and got along well as siblings. Around noon that day, Isiah called his father and step-mother stating that there was a strange man in the house and that he had ran out the back door but never said anything about Lelia being hurt. His stepmother then called 911 immediately and stated that there was an intruder in the house. A few moments later, Isiah had called 911 also as the parents sped home. February 4, 2013 Kelsie Schelling 22-year-old Kelsie Schelling was last seen the night she drove from Denver to Pueblo to see her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas. Her cell phone records showed that she had made it to Pueblo but hasn't been seen ever since.  Video surveillance showed Kelsie pulling into the Walmart parking lot in Pueblo at 12:05 p.m. on February 5. The vehicle was parked there over night and at 7:20 a.m. the next morning, an unidentified male was seen getting into her car and driving away. The car was later found more than a week later on February 14 at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital. The hospital was only four miles East of the Walmart she had been last seen at. Police officers searched the perimeter of the property and surrounding areas using canines but no scent was picked up. December 12, 1985 Diana Robertson, Mike Riemer, & Crystal On this morning, Mike Riemer, his girlfriend Diana Robertson, and their daughter Crystal set off to the forest south of Tacoma. Tacoma was a widely known area for its beautiful scenery and camper/nature lovers. Mike was a trapper, so while the family was there, he decided to check his traps for animals. Later that day in the afternoon, their daughter Crystal was found at a department store near Tacoma. Crystal seemed to be stunned and very silent considering her parents were no where near her. She was later taken to a hospital where she got checked and then sent into the foster care system. Days before her disappearance, reports have stated that she had got engaged to her boyfriend Bill Rausch. They had met at West Point where she was a cadet for two years before transferring to the University of Massachusetts to study her dream of being a nurse. The couple were having problems in the relationship since they had started dating. Also days before, she had caused a $10,000 worth of damage to her dads vehicle when hitting a guardrail coming back from a college party on February 7th. By Monday, February 9, she had withdrew $280 from her bank account and emailed her professor stating that she would not attend the next few classes because of a death in her family that never truly happened.
